The convenience store
EYDAP’s Marathon Μuseum
The former settlement’s convenience store, turned into a museum by EYDAP, thanks to the passion, the tools, and the documents collected over time by the employees of EYDAP with sensitivity to the historical evidence. It functioned from the first day to cover the workers’ needs. Inside there was a huge bench to service the clients and a refrigerator the size of a room. Next to it, there was a large hall with wooden benches and stools. Food was served in porcelain plates and drinks in jugs and enamel glasses. Tobacco was sold in the convenience store, where men used to gather on a daily basis. Tip 1: Take a look outside, on the back right side of the museum and you will see part of the tunnel mold, but also water pipes. Their impressive size helps us realize the scale of the project. Tip2: You can visit the museum daily by appointment. Tel.: 2108141355
