Impromptu feasts and dances
The carob tree
Most of the feasts of the inhabitants of the settlement took place in the clearing. In the post-war period, on warm summer nights, people were gathering there, at every opportunity and often with no specific reason in order to have a good time. At some point, they acquired a gramophone in order to accompany their celebrations and feasts with music. Later, when the children of the settlement grew up, they made their celebrations and parties here, inviting their friends from the neighboring Kalentzi village. Various testimonies mention that wedding feasts, as well as celebrations honoring Saints and official national holidays, took place here.
