Directions
Entrance/Justice Gate
You can reach the Alhambra Palace on foot or by public transportation. Bus C30 takes you to the palace. Once you get off the bus, you can see the main entrance, the Justice Gate, on your left. If you go on foot, start in Plaza Nueva in Granada. Standing next to the fountain in the middle of the square and facing the church of Santa Ana, turn right and head towards “Cuesta de Gomérez” street, which goes uphill. After about 5 minutes going up, you will find the Renaissance Gate of the Pomegranates. Once you pass through the gate, you will see three tree-lined paths: take the one on your very left. After about 2 minutes you will come across a statue of Washington Irving, the author of “Tales of the Alhambra” on your right; you are on the right track! In 5 more minutes, you will reach a fountain attached to a wall from the era of Charles V. Go up the stairs next to the fountain and turn 180 degrees to the left. There you will find the Justice Gate.
