The nobleman
Koufia Rachi
The Mycenaean vaulted tomb at the ‘Koufia Rachi’ location, found looted in 1917, tells the story of splendour of years past in its magnificent dromos, circular chamber and the vaulted tholos. Small vessels, clay idols, plaques with riders, and other finds revealed in the area surrounding the tomb, bear witness to the continued use of the space as a sanctuary of ancestors from the 5th century B.C. onwards.
