A convent between Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas and Varlaam monasteries, on the road from Kastraki village to Meteora, embraces a three-story complex and church that contains some of the most mature hagiographies of the renowned Cretan School. Although dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Saviour, it honors the memory of St Barbara.
