The mountain of the gods
Olympos mountain
The tallest mountain in Greece is known from ancient Greek mythology as the home of the twelve gods. It stretches along the borders of Macedonia and Thessaly in a series of tall peaks separated by deep ravines, around which a region with exceptional biodiversity thrives. In 1938 it was declared the first National Park of Greece.
