Marble seated figure
Marble seated figure
The figurine is 19 cm tall and depicts a man sitting on a stool. With his right hand outstretched, he holds a cup, as if preparing to drink or make a toast. His left arm is folded and pressed to his stomach.
His nose was embossed. When the figurine was found, part of the nose was broken. Its head is almond-shaped and tilts backwards.
What could the seated man be drinking? Probably wine, from the vineyards that flourished in the Cyclades.
