Sparus aurata
The dark seabed
The sea bream, officially Sparus aurata and Mediterranean Sea bream in english, lives up to 12 years, while its breeding season is between July and October, when its fishing is allowed. The way it feeds has to do with the shape of its mouth, as the sea bream is a carnivorous fish and feeds from the bottom of the sea by putting its head in the sand to find its prey.
