Water - climate codependent relationship
Ocean currents
Ocean currents appear near the surface of the oceans, created by the winds from the cold water which sinks, while the warmer water emerges. Cold surface currents (blue) transfer cold water from the poles to the equator, hot currents (red) transfer heat from the equator to the poles.
(Thanks to the warm current of the Atlantic Gulf, the climate of northwestern Europe remains unusually warm).
Most currents, due to the rotation of the Earth, have a circular flow. The water of the seas is constantly in motion.
