The rockier the better!
Tidal pools
Tidal pools are located on rocky shores, in the strip of land between the high and low tide points, called the tidal zone. They are microcosms full of an amazing variety of marine life, constantly competing for spaces (habitats). In these rocky pools, the spread of animals in the shallowest part is hindered by natural factors, such as drought and high temperature from the sun, while in the deeper part, by biological factors, such as hunting and competition for habitat. Shallow pools heat up very quickly and greatly increase their salinity in summer, while during winter they can become sluggish due to rain and cold. The species that live in them are very well adapted to the endless changes in their environment and surfing! These are crabs, hermits, horseshoes, snails, mussels, starfish, sea urchins etc.
