As we come closer to the end of our visit to the history of sports and Olympic Games, we enter a section paying tribute to Greek Olympic and Paralympic medalists. In this section, the showcases on the walls host personal memorabilia from Greek medalists, such as uniforms, footwear, other sports-related objects and athletic equipment. Among them, the belt and footwear of Pyrros Dimas; the boccia equipment of Anna Denta, consisting of her specially adjusted helmet; and a plexiglass ramp with a metal base and three balls from Grigoris Polychronidis. In addition, among the exhibits are the swimming suit worn by Spyros Gianniotis in the 10 km marathon swim, and Paraskevi Kantza’s skipping rope, which she always had with her when competing in athletics together with her co-athlete who served as her guide. The section is rounded out with two interactive screens, providing information about the Greek Olympic and Paralympic medalists.
