Showcasing established and rising filmmakers from South Africa, The Congo, Egypt, France, the US and the UK, this programme touches on environmentalism, digital culture, diasporas and women’s liberation from new, intrepid perspectives. These filmmakers blend boundaries, queer narratives and posit new connections between the individual and the whole, the communal and the personal. All of which are aesthetically amplified through dance, animation, video art, and documentary profiles to reveal the human body as an unyielding instrument of self-expression.
