Why is it called Santa Felicita?
Santa Felicita Church
The Church was built close to a Christian cemetery, which is commemorated by a column in the middle of the square. Go on the right side of the facade of the Church, enter in a courtyard, there you will find ancient tombs on a wall, one of them dates back to 405AD. The church is dedicated to St Felicity, who was a Roman martyr. She was a beautiful lady with seven sons, each of whom was executed in front of her for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
