A byzantine jewel
The Church of St. Nicolas of Ypati
Tiny mosaic tiles coming from a distant and glorious past, Corinthian column capitals and architectural sculptures of older buildings embedded in the walls of the post Byzantine church of the 18th Cent. A.D., bear witness to an early Christian monument, once an aisled basilica of the 5th or 6th Cen. A.D., built amongst the waterfalls and rivers.
