Alti Gumbaz - Six Dome Synagogue
The Six-Domed Synagogue is a monumental building made of red brick, topped by six domes that symbolise the six-day migration made by Red Village’s founding residents having been given permission to settle here by Guba ruler HuseynAli Khan. These domes and their steeples are one of the main architectural features of Red Village. Two tiers of semi circular windows encircle the building. The brick pilasters on either side of the narthex are decorated with bas-reliefs depicting flowerpots and Stars of David.
