Jezuicka Street
Ulica Jezuicka
Golda, Josko Shachnovitz’s widow and the mother of Shalom Shachna, who later became the Chief Rabbi of MaƂopolska (Lesser Poland) and Head of the Lublin Yeshiva, lived close to the theatre building in the early 16th century, on a street called Platea Fabrorum in Latin (present-day Jezuicka Street). Thus, young Shalom Shachna must often have crossed the streets of the Old Town on his way to the Lublin Synagogue.
