House of bourgeois Yakov Friedman - 26, Revolyutsionnaya Street
Next is the house of the bourgeois Yakov Friedman, which today is a testament to the architecture and history of Minsk. In 1881, the building was severely damaged by a city-wide fire, after which the owner rebuilt the house, attaching two courtyard wings. Following the renovation and addition to the house, it featured a dairy store of Sh. Tsyrlin, offering milk, butter, cheese, kefir, other dairy and related products.Once the bourgeois Yudel Lieberman purchased the house in 1890, a Jewish elementary school occupied part of the ground floor; however the building was converted into communal apartments following nationalization. The house has not been victim to history and has preserved many nineteenth - early twentieth century architectural nuances.
