The Call menor
Carrer Ferran
The area of the Call Menor appeared during the 13th century, when space was becoming an issue. Unlike the Call Mayor, which had a natural barrier made up of houses, the Call Menor was a series of streets without gates and documents show it was a
mixture of Jewish and Christian families. Main Jewish institutions and synagogues would continue to be found in the Call Mayor.
