In 2016, when this story was written, in the place where the Great Synagogue of Vilnius once stood, the soviet-period kindergarten building stood in this place, hosting a primary school. For almost a decade now, discussion about how to memorialize this location continues. Even though many ideas have been put forward, the best suggestion is yet to come.
