Autumn Rhythm No. 30 (Gallery 919)
Walk straight through 829, exit the 19th and 20th Century European Wing and Enter the Modern and Contemporary wing. Room 919 will be the third room you enter upon going straight. The Modern and Contemporary wing of the Met is quite international and spans the 1st and 2nd floors plus the mezzanine in the southwest corner of the building. You can reach the following work, Jackson Pollock’s large drip painting, Autumn Rhythm No. 30, by exiting through gallery 830 into a vestibule, gallery 917. On your right, you will see one of the small Met boutiques. Go straight into 917, pass through 918, and look to your left as you enter gallery 919, where you’ll find the larger Pollock work.
