The “Panagiotis” was built in Scotland and was launched on 14 January 1937 as the “Saint Bedan”. She measured 50 meters (163 feet) in length and 8 meters (26 feet) in width and was designed from coastal trade through shallow waters. In 1964 it was sold to Greek owners, M. Gigilinis and S. Kakassinas of Thessaloniki, who renamed her “Meropi”. In 1966 she was called “Charis”. In 1975 she was sold to P. Lisikatos of Piraeus and renamed “Panagiotis”.
