The hospital
Tordenshjoldsgate 65
You are now standing outside of what was Kristiansand Hospital during World War II. Hospital stays were a normal part of life for many Norwegian prisoners of war. Kristiansand Hospital had a secret unit for Norwegian prisoners interrogated at the Archives. This image was taken by a deaconess named Ingrid, who worked at the hospital during the war. One of the patients in this picture is Ole Albert Lauen. We will now become better acquainted with Ole Albert by telling parts of his story.
Can you figure out where this image was taken now that you see the building before you? Is there still a veranda?
