Arne Laudal
ARKIVET
Arne Laudal was in charge of the Norwegian Armed Forces when Germany invaded Norway. He received a significant title in 1940 and became head of ‘Mil.org’ in Southern Norway. Among other things, Mil.org carried out weapons training, had its radio station, and collaborated with the Allies. The organization may have had at least 3,500 members (www.fanger.no). In the autumn of 1942, Gestapo cracked down on the organisation; Laudal and his son Lasse were arrested and taken to the Arkivet. Lasse was released after a few days. Arne Laudal was sent to Grini's detention camp and was court-martialed. Finally, he was executed in Trandumskogen In May 1944. (Source: www.fanger.no).
