Hungry eyes
The first sex change
It is common for people to take liberties with their true age but Hypnos, the god of sleep, takes the cake. We have no idea whether he was a young man with wings on his temples or an older man with a beard and wings attached to his shoulders. He fell madly in love with Endymion, a young shepherd (or a king; or a hunter perhaps) who was considered the most beautiful boy of his time and who seduced Selene (the moon) so often that she ended up having 50 daughters with him. And yet Hypnos was so determined to prevail in the race for Endymion’s heart that he sent him to sleep with his eyelids always open, so he would never be deprived of the pleasure of looking at them when they made love.
