It is known that in 1863 there were three stone synagogues in Tiraspol. The 1903 city plan shows six synagogues in different parts of the city. It is also known that in the pre-revolutionary year of 1916 there were only 11 synagogues and prayer houses in Tiraspol.A photograph is now known of only one of the buildings, which was a synagogue before the revolution. It was located on Dvoryanskaya Street (modern address - 8 Kotovsky Street). In the interwar period the building was adapted as a cinema, and during the war it was destroyed.
