One of the well-known representatives of the Tiraspol Jewish community is Harry Feifermacher.He was born in 1942 in Tbilisi, where his parents Semyon and Leah Feifermacher were evacuated. In 1945, the family returned to Tiraspol and lived at 37 Sverdlov Street. Here Harry goes to school No. 3, which was located nearby, on the corner of Kotovsky Street and 25 October. He attends an art studio under the guidance of another famous Tiraspol resident, A.F. He recommended Harry for admission to the Moscow Architectural Institute. After graduating from the Institute, he was sent as a senior architect to "Moldkommunproekt. Harry Feifermacher was actively involved in the design of the Memorial of Glory and the Aviators' Monument in Tiraspol. Since 1973, Harry Semenovich is in exile in Paris, where he receives a second architectural education and continues to create as a distinctive artist, to participate in many exhibitions.Famous Tiraspol natives also include Joel-Ruvin Bershadsky, a Soviet painter, teacher and professor; and Yefim Uchitel, a Soviet cameraman, director and screenwriter of documentary films known for his front-line documentary work.
