A tear for Kyra Frosyni
A tear for Kyra Frosyni
Christos Lamprou
Marble sculpture
1996
Can a tear be transformed into a voice that encompasses everything?
The marble sculpture by Christos Lamprou was created for the people of Ioannina who were hanged by the Nazis during the Occupation and the friends who “departed”.
Almost 30 years later, through a stencil appropriation, a voice against patriarchy is added to its original meaning. No one alone.
