Panos Sklavenitis Performance, installation, digital video 2023 What is the role of masquerade today? How can AI empower local traditions? The project #thehead | Zéte is based on Panos Sklavenitis’ ongoing research on Ioannina, Epirus, and the Balkans. Existing and fabricated narratives intertwine and give shape and substance to a collective performance led by a heterogeneous crowd. Zoomorphic and phytomorphic costumes, as well as polyphonic singing, dominate this performance, building the feeling of celebrating an inclusive world.
