What can we learn from living organisms such as the fungi and from their own life cycle?
Mushrooms live in the dark. Abandoned mines, humid basements, or bunkers from long past wars offer the ideal conditions for the cultivation of these creatures. Fungi have the ability to break down anything organic and feed on the energy stored in organic matter. In the shelter of the old castle, several clusters of mycelia produce fruiting bodies forming a living sculptural installation. Six species are cultivated and hosted. Five edible ones and a sixth extremely potent mushroom with medicinal properties.
