Malvina Panagiotidi Sculptural installation 2023 What if refrains are seen as mechanisms for reconnecting humans with nature; The installation draws on the study of practices of fortune-telling, magic, and refrains in the local traditions of Ioannina and the wider region of Epirus. An allegorical sculptural system of hybrid creatures carry fragments of refrains, but also elements of human and animal parts.
