A bunch of ruins
Gymnase romain d'Orange
Archaeologists have been confused by this maze of ruins since they found them in the 1920s. The most noticeable feature is a large semicircular cut into the side of Saint Eutrope Hill. The semicircle is 74 metres in diameter (243 feet), and walls extend northwards for a considerable distance. Perched in the middle of all these ruins is a podium on which stood a peripteral (with a single row of columns on all sides) temple that was probably built in the 2nd century CE.
