Games room
Otto’s backgammon board
Otto himself used to play on this backgammon board with his officials and other Royal Court acquaintances. His backgammon board was most likely at the New Royal Palace (today’s Parliament), where there were three successive rooms for “social gatherings”: the games room, the ballroom and the dining room. It is believed that the backgammon board was placed in the first room, which had four games tables.
