Crossing Spianada Square, you pass the Maitland Monument, Spianada Music Pavilion and Monument to the Union of the Ionian Islands before reaching a fountain. With the fountain in front of you and the stairs leading up to it behind you, you can see the Old Fortress (your next stop) in the distance on your right. Head in the direction of the fortress until you come to the road running along the eastern side of Spianada Square (Agoniston Politechniou St). The entrance of the Old Fortress is opposite you, through a gate and over the bridge crossing a canal. You can enter the fortress or listen to the next stories from here.
