Odeon of Herodes Atticus
Upon scanning your ticket, proceed straight ahead and follow the ramp leading upwards. Turn right onto this ascending path with the Acropolis hill in view. At the end of the ascent, you will find yourself in front of the wall of the Theater of Dionysus; there, turn left. Continue straight ahead, with the theater, the largest in Greece, boasting a capacity of 17,000 spectators, on your right. At the end of this path, turn right and continue uphill, with the city walls to your right and the Stoa of Eumenes to your left. Continue straight along the uphill road, until you come across the columns from the recently renovated temple of Asclepius on your right. Keep your course straight, then turn right to continue your uphill journey. You'll find signs indicating 'north slope' and 'Acropolis'. A few meters further up on your right, you will see a sheltered area of marble bases with honorary descriptions discovered in this area. This is a good spot to take a breather if desired, and to admire the view stretching to the sea and the hill of Philopappos on your left. Move straight on until you reach a metallic fence, below which the magnificent Odeon of Herodes Atticus rests, and tune into our stories.
