A very short intro
Niagara Falls - The How to: On the Bus
Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls on the border between the United States and Canada. Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the three and straddles the international border. The other two (American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls) are significantly smaller and lie within the United States. In 1885, New York State established the Niagara Falls State Park, which may be the oldest continuously operating state park in the United States. The park encompasses the three waterfalls and numerous islands and gorges along the river. It offers many tourist facilities (museums, restaurants, a movie theater, gift shops, nature trails, fishing, and recreational programs). Niagara Falls has been included in lists of America's ten most beautiful spots. Niagara Falls State Park receives more than nine million visitors annually.
