Lambros Eftaxias was born in Athens and he was son of Ioannis Eftaxias and Zinovia Vourou-Eftaxia. He studied Law, Political Science and Economics in Athens, Leipzig, Vienna and Paris. He was an avid collector, an enthusiast of the Greek history and donated all his fortune to Museums and Cultural Institutions.
