The Bait Al Zubair Museum was founded in 1998 by the Zubair family. The Al Zubairs have been among Oman’s leading business pioneers since their ancestors served the country’s ruling class in the early 20th century. The museum consists of three restored Omani houses, and its collection includes ancient weapons, traditional costumes and jewellery, art pieces, and replicas of an Omani village and irrigation system (known as falaj). The garden showcases native trees and flowers.
