Louvre Abu Dhabi
The Louvre Abu Dhabi, designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel and opened in 2017, is the largest and most visited art museum in the Arabian Peninsula. The permanent collection consists of 700 artworks from different periods and cultures, emphasising human creativity from the dawn of prehistory to the present day. Partner museums offer another 300 artefacts on loan. The Louvre provides both its name and 100 different masterpieces annually.
