From Camels to Ferraris
Ferrari World
Neolithic hunters brought down many camels in western Abu Dhabi six thousand years ago using flint projectiles. Since then, the Emiratis have found the greatest four-legged companion in these majestic animals. They use them for warfare, nutrition, currency, weaving, and transportation. Today, the camel population of Abu Dhabi approaches half a million animals, but the Emirate has also found great pleasure in fast and glamorous cars. The city has hosted the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009 and the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi theme park since 2010.
