Museo Egizio (Egyptian Museum)
The Museo Egizio in Turin is the oldest institution in the world specializing in preserving and exhibiting artifacts belonging to the Egyptian civilisation. The museum was established in 1824 when King Charles Felix purchased thousands of pieces from the Drovetti collection. The Museo Egizio in Turin is considered the most important Egyptology collection in the world after the Egyptian Museum of Cairo.
