The Heart of Westminster
Parliament Square Garden
Located in the heart of London, Parliament Square Garden is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The square was originally laid out in the 1860s by Charles Barry, the architect of the Houses of Parliament, to enhance the setting around the iconic building. After suffering heavy bomb damage during World War II, it was redesigned by architect George Grey Wornum—resulting in a layout that remains largely the same today. Now, let’s take a closer look at the statues.
