Palau Reial Major (Plaça del Rei)
The picturesque Plaça del Rei, a 14th-century square full of historic charm, is home to the Palau Reial Major. Dating back to the 11th century, this grand palace served as the residence of the Counts of Barcelona and the Kings of Aragon from the 13th to the 15th centuries. Today, it forms part of the History Museum of Barcelona (MUHBA). Inside, you can admire the majestic Saló del Tinell, the exquisite banqueting hall, and the elegant Chapel of Santa Àgata.
