Only the Greeks have such a talent
Saint Nikolaos
An imposing domed basilica. Majestic like an ancient temple, inaugurated in 1870. The patron saint of the wealthy neighborhood of the merchants from Chios. The icon of Saint Nikolaos was donated by a greek woman from Taganrog, the birthplace of Anton Chekhov. His father, a middle class greengrocer would say to his son on icy russian evenings: "Anton, if you don’t learn Greek you will not become a powerful and wealthy merchant. Only the Greeks have such a talent". I played in "The Seagull" by Chekhov with great success and have traveled to the great cities of the greek Diaspora.
