Catholic Litanies in the Castle
The Castle Junction
During great celebrations of the Catholic Church, in some cases litanies are held in the narrow streets of the Castle, especially at this particular spot. Oftentimes, even their Orthodox neighbors participate. Among the most famous litany is the one of the Corpus Christi, which was celebrated with great splendor in medieval Venice as a "national holiday," which today usually takes place on the last Sunday of July. Anyone who finds themselves in the Castle on that day will see everything decorated. Even the Catholic Cathedral is adorned as well as homes of Catholics.
