The settlement of the Agora is located between the Castle and the beach and may have been formed in the 18th century. Today the Agora has vigorous commercial activity, as well as an active night-life during the summer months. Prior to the creation of the Agora, according to ] local legend, the sea was closer to the Castle, so when the children played there, they threw stones that splashed into the water.
