The fish bone
The cave of Agios Vlasios
Saint Vlasios was a doctor who lived in Asia Minor. He was known as a devout Christian who would treat all those in need without compensation. He was even able to pacify wild animals. When the governor Agricola learned about his pious and miraculous life, he asked him to sacrifice to the idols and when he refused, he tortured him and attempted to drown him in a deep lake. The saint was able to stay afloat but when his pursuers tried to imitate him, they all drowned. Agricola was furious and decapitated him. Saint Vlasios is known for assisting those with diseases of the throat, since the time he cured a child who had a fish bone stuck in his throat.
