A king or a queen
The great theater
We spent a lot of time trying to decide which play to perform in Dodona. We are all very skilled actors, able to play adults of both genders and all ages (despite the loss of our masks). I won many first prizes back in the day, when the audience was capable of discerning the subtle differences in my depiction of characters differing in outward appearance. I triumphed as a queen and as a servant, a god or a mortal, a foreigner or a king. My voice carried well to the top rows and brought back thunderous applause. We just had to be careful not to select a play that requires an actor to exit and then quickly return to the stage in another costume. I am too old for such lighting changes.
