The name Printzipas or Prince was given to the spring by the residents of the village during the Frank occupation (1250). According to tradition, the ruler of the area, Prince William Vileardouine, enjoyed sitting by the spring and daydreaming. And so, the residents who were fond of him, named the spring after him.
