Zongolopoulos and his wife, were among the first residents of Psychiko neighborhood, Athens. They lived their long lives working in their home studio, a surprisingly small space (5.90 x 3.80m) where Zongolopoulos created most of his iconic sculptures now installed in public spaces. His tools, models, unfinished as well as finished artworks still lay there intact.
