Zongolopoulos created this sculpture to honor his beloved wife of 60 years, Eleni Paschalidou-Zongolopoulou, after her passing. For him, this nexus of columns and satellite dishes was a way to symbolically communicate with her; hence, he initially named it To the Beyond. In 2001, it was installed at the OTE Headquarters in Maroussi, Athens. A smaller scale version was installed at the Presidential Mansion’s gardens in 2005.
